Call to prayer

During the soup part of the Wednesday lunchtime "Soup and the Word" someone commented about the lack of any general call to prayer regarding the wet weather.

They said that, in 1976 when there was a severe drought, there was a call to prayer for rain.  But no calls to prayer have been heard so far for the Lord to intervene and change the weather.

Perhaps this lack of a general call to prayer reflects the lower spiritual state of Britain.  This does not stop us praying, and Robert Higginson hopes to include this in the morning service on Sunday (16 February)
